Sydney is very passionate about constant creativity. She believes that there will never be a point where her work is over and is constantly posing lingering questions. She loves to tap into what being human means to her and how child-like elements can play into a serious work. More recently, she often will connect her faith and spirituality into her work, sharing with the audience and the dancers her perspective of faith in the human world. Syd has been choreographing since the age of 14 at her local dance studio. Her first performed work debuted in 2021 with a screen dance called Telescope. It was later performed that same year with the Hilton Head Dance Theater.
Going into college, Sydney knew choreography was a passion of hers which is why she decided to focus on it during her time at Marymount Manhattan College (MMC). During her college years, she debuted 6 different types of works with 1 being a professional work shown with MMC's Student Choreography Showcase.
Syd often shows in-person works, but loves filming, choreographing and editing screen dances. She believes the camera movement to be its own choreography as well as the dancers.
